The Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China has selected about 100 universities all over the country for the quality “211 Program”. The “985 Group” is composed of the élite universities of the “211 Programm”.

Most universities we are cooperating with, belong to this élite “985 Group”, the others were at least chosen for the “211 Program”.

The universities will pre-select the students, who will be sent to the German enterprises as their ambassadors. The final decision will be made by the enterprises.

All the students have the completion of a Bachelor’s degree with first-class honours and are preparing for their Master thesis.

Characteristics of eurochinacom traineeship programm
The eurochinacom traineeship program adapts to the regulating criteria of the ZAV (Zentrale Arbeitsvermittlung der Bundesagentur für Arbeit):

• a qualification tightly oriented to the subject with individual supervision
• the traineeship plan has to be provided by the enterprise
• a contact person has to be named
• monthly minimum allowance, no obligation of health and care insurance, no unemployment and pension insurance.

In addition to the criteria laid down by the ZAV the eurochinacom traineeship program comprises also the following points:

Period of the traineeship
The term of the traineeship adapts to the semesters of the Chinese universities. The Chinese academic year is divided into two semester, a winter semester and a summer semester (almost corresponding to the German semester). The period of the traineeship amounts to approximately five months.

Language Course
eurochinacom does require the students to take part in a three to four week intensive language course just before they fly to Germany, in order to improve their German and/or English language skills.

Intercultural preparation and experience meeting
eurochinacom will organize an intensive seminar immediately after the trainees arrive in Germany, in order to prepare the participants for important intercultural differences as well as practical daily problems in Germany.

A second seminar will take place after the first two months in the companies giving the students the opportunity to exchange their first experiences in Germany with each other and with the instructors of the last seminars.

eurochinacom - evaluation system
The enterprises will be first asked to evaluate the trainees after eight weeks. The evaluation should be carrried out especially regarding the communication capability and enthuisasm.  This evaluation can also be used by the enterprises to decide on an allowance related to the achievements.

Shortly before the end of the traineeship not only the enterprises but also the students will have the opportunity to evaluate the whole traineeship and the services of eurochinacom.

Services of the enterprises

• Flight China - Munich - China (organized and booked by eurochinacom and charged to the company)
• Travel expenses Munich - Company - Munich (depending on the location of the company)
• Fee eurochinacom for intercultural training, experience exchange, health and third-party-liability insurance, residence permission
• Accommodation for the period of traineeship (five months)
• Contact person in the enterprise not only for the trainees but also for eurochinacom
• Monthly allowance for the period of the traineeship: EUR 450.00. The minimum allowance regulated by the ZAV amounts to EUR 643.50 per month. At most EUR 198.00 could be deducted from this amount through the provision of an accommodation. (eurochinacom traineeship programm keep the provision of an accommodation by the enterprise as an obligation!) The monthly minimum allowance is fixed at EUR 450.00. Of course the enterprise could offer higher allowance. If the traineeship satisfies all ZAV criteria, no pension and health insurance is obligatory for this kind of traineeship apart from the monthly minimum allowance of EUR 450.00. • An advance payment of EUR 200.00 will be due by publication of the etp request at the universities.
