Which documents is required when applying for “student visa”?
According to the regulation of applying student visa issued by German Embassy in the April of 2002, usually the application for student visa could only submitted by examination office of international students, please find the required documents in “the procedure of applying for study in Germany by own expense”; If you submit the application to German Embassy by yourself holding unconditional enrollment notice, you need to make reservation by telephone, you should show the following documents during interview:
1. Filled application form (RK 1200) in 3 copies and 3 certificate photos (paste in the application forms individually)
2. Effective Passport
3. Unconditional Enrollment Notice of a Germany College (Bedingungsloser Zulassungsbescheid), it will not work if you only have enrollment application certificate (Bewerberbestätigung).
4. Enrollment qualification certification (domestic education diploma, studying in colleges or graduation certificate)
5. Expenses proof for the studying abroad period, for example:
a. The certificate that you have more than Euro 7020 (Euro 14040 for Berlin) deposit in a bank of Germany, the draw of every month should be no more than Euro 585.
b. Economic Assurance Letter without specifying the total amount or irrevocable bank assurance provided by a inhabitant of the Federal Republic of Germany (including the costs regulated in Article 83 and Article 84 of “Law of Foreigners”
c. Certificate of scholarship

7. If you want to receive your passport by registered mail, please also submit a return envelope with 10 yuan postage.
Things need to be specially noticed:
1. All certificates need to be in original and attach two copies, incomplete documents will not be accepted.
2. Visa application documents need to be submitted to the embassy no later than 8 weeks before the registration or test date of German colleges.

What kind of documents will be needed when applying “Intensive Language Training Visa” to study in language school?
According to the visa application regulation of Apr. 2002 issued by German Embassy, the following documents need to be submitted when applying for language training visa:
1. Filled application form (RK1200) in three copies and three certificate photos (pasted in three application forms separately);
2. Valid passport;
3. Enrollment certificate of intensive language training class (no less than 20 hours / week) issued by a German language school and invoice for tuition of no less than three months;
4. Expense certificate of whole study period, for example:
a. The certificate that you have more than Euro 7020 (Euro 14040 for Berlin) deposit in a bank of Germany, the draw of every month should be no more than Euro 585. If you will stay more than one year, you should show appropriate documents to certify the source of our living cost after one year;
b. Economic Assurance Letter without specifying the total amount or irrevocable bank assurance provided by a inhabitant of the Federal Republic of Germany (including the costs regulated in Article 83 and Article 84 of “Law of Foreigners”;
5. The written statement of purpose to attend language class in Germany, the language should be in German or English language;
6. If the applicant is non-adult, under the circumstance of legal guardian could not accompany for interview, the approval letter of legal guardian should be submitted (attach the translation in German or English of notarization)

Things to be specially noticed:
1. All materials should be original with two copies; the incomplete documents will not be accepted.
2. The application documents should be submitted to the embassy before eight weeks of enrollment of language school or test date, otherwise the visa could not be issued in time.

Is it possible to apply for universities holding “Intensive Language Training Visa” and change to “Study Abroad Visa” in Germany?
The pure language visa (“Intensive Language Training Visa) got in China could not change to “Study Abroad Visa” in Germany. If you want to apply for universities, you need to go back China to go through the examination of APS (if the visa you got is language plus study visa issued by APS, you could directly apply universities in Germany and do not need to change the visa).

If I have the visa of university in city A, could I transfer to the university in city B to study?
Generally speaking, it’s possible but quite troublesome. It depends on the local (city B) foreigners management bureau.
After getting visa, what should I do if I could not get to school to do registration in time?
In this case, you should inform the situation to the international office of the school and ask them if you could postpone the enrollment, or you could ask to keep your quota and postpone one semester. But it will be difficult if the major you applied is the major having “Quota Limit”.
To avoid this kind of situation, please be advised to submit your enrollment application as soon as possible so that you could have enough time to prepare passport and visa.
